What's On My Desk Wednesday

Ok, so it is Thursday, but I just joined the "What's On My Desk Wednesday" group and I love the idea. So I will show you what I did on Tuesday, hehe.....
I am drawing again. So excited to see where I end up this time. I am not going to go back into the rubber business as I was with the Rubber Attic. I don't like pressing rubber and making stamps.
However I am considering having someone else make rubber for me. Others have suggested that I sell them as Digi stamps. I don't have a forum for selling those, but I could sell the UM's on Ebay.  I welcome all suggestions here. Do Digi stamps sell well?  Do tell me how you all feel. Thanks.
Introducing "Moonlit Deer". It is a bit hard to see the art with my water mark, but just put your imagination to work, lol.

Oh yes, My Desk, lol. Next time I will take photo when I actually am working on it.   Thanks, Terry

Learning and loving my PAZZLES!

Learning, Learning, Learning.........and having so much fun.  This card is put together from pieces of my learning curves. The poinsettia was cut with my Pazzles, but it was just cut to see how it would go, in white card stock. I decided to put the puzzle together to see if I even liked it and well last night I was up in the night again, so I decided to give it some old fashioned color.
Well then of course, I had to use it. So I created the stamped paper that is behind it for a learning curve too, and put the mouse that has been sitting in the coloring box on it.
I was on a blog last night that used cloth for bows and thought that was such a neat idea. I have lots of cloth, so I went for it. I put everything together and added some brown pigment ink to the edges. WOWIE, I love the old fashioned effect.
This is going to my mom and dad for Christmas. SHHHHHHHH.....don't tell them. :)

Did you say Decorate the tree?

Of course!!  I am having so much fun with my mice. Also these ornament shapes were cut out with my Pazzles.
Lots to learn still, but just a good thing to relax to.
I created these ornaments for my tree. This year I have this very tiny tree, so they look huge on it, but kind of fun too. :)

A Blast from the Past!!

A blast from the past!!!  I was looking for something that my son wanted this week. I came across a whole bunch of my past work from over five years ago. It was so much fun to go through it all.
I took photo's of some of them to share. They are in my albums:

I used alot of chalk work back in those days and I really love the look. I am using alcohol pens now, but I will have to do some of this chalk work again as it is beautiful.
I also colored on my stamps with my Tombows, but most of those are dried up now. :(  Maybe I will have to look for a few basic colors to do this again. It really inspired me to find these.
I just LOVE stamping!!!!

My favorite time of year is here!

I think I am finally getting back in the grove of making cards again, after my long 5 plus year vacation from rubber stamps.
So much has changed in five years and there are many things that I have, had to learn about, to catch up. I think I am learning fast and my budget is feeling it. lol
This card was colored with Copic markers, other alcohol pens, and glitter gel pens.
The stamps are from House Mouse, StampinUp(snowman), Stampendous (the background holly). The leaf is from StampCraft.

I used my Cuttlebug with three different dies to create the square with the snowman, the hearts behind him and the piece with the words on it.
With added touches of a button and some ribbons, it came to life.

I have been having alot of fun coloring fall leaves, so I just had to put some in. I think they mix in with winter because they hang around on the ground until spring.:)

Fall is in the air and Rubber stamping in my blood

About 13 years ago, I began rubber stamping. I can't even remember how that got started, but I know it ballooned fast. Soon I was working for many stamp companies doing demo cards in exchange for stamps. This is how I supported my "habit" lol.  It was all so much fun. I created my way through years of cards, exchanges, conventions and friends.

Then I began designing images that I sold to other companies to create into stamps. That got so intense that I was designing more images then I could sell, so I then went into my own business. The Rubber Attic was formed and Joan Wear joined me in that venture. A couple years of learning the in's and out's or operating a press, making magnesium dies, impression boards and rubber. Mounting stamps and trimming etc. Creating a catalog, a website and marketing. I have to say it had it's purpose but it eventually took all the joy out of stamping for me.

I stopped stamping to join the force of doll sculpting.  http://feathersnsong.com/References.html On this web page is a link to my dolls and other doll related things that I got involved with.

I went on that train for quite a few years also. During that time, I sold or gave away almost all my stamps and much of my equipment.  Wow, I wish I hadn't done that!! I didn't dream that I would come back to it one day, but I have.

It is a whole new world now to me. I am learning and catching up on all that I have missed in the years that I was not doing this hobby.  So today I opened this blog so I can share my creations with you all.  Love, Terry Quinn /
